Road Safety for Sporting Events

NEG Wales Commission

NEG Wales forms part of the Welsh Cycling Union and is governed by the Event Safety Commission made up of a number of NEG Wales members.

The role of the Commission is to oversee the running of NEG Wales and make informed decisions on the groups behalf.

The Commission meets regularly and reports back to the members of the group via email and at meetings/update sessions when necessary.

The 2007 Safety Commission currently consists of 4 members and is made up of the following individuals:

Events Safety Commission - Chair
Lives just outside Caerphilly. Experienced motorcyclist and cyclist. Rides a Yamaha FJR1300.

Jason M

Events Safety Commission
Lives just outside Cardiff and is a motorcycle instructor for CBT and DAS. Jason rides a Police spec Honda Pan European ST1300.

Jeff T

Events Safety Commission
Jeff lives in Caerphilly, is a retired Police Officer with many years motor cycling experience and rides a BMW 1150 RT

Graham H

Events Safety Commission
Graham lives near Newport and has several years experience of marshalling. He rides a BMW RT1150.
