While NEG Wales does not favour any particular model of motorcycle for use on events, potential motorcycle safety officers should note that events are long in duration and can be extremely tiring, requiring the rider to travel at slow speeds for long periods of time while remaining alert and aware of potential hazards around them.
Therefore we suggest that tourer style motorcycles or motorcycles with an 'upright' seating position and excellent rear view capability are possibly the best type of motorcycle to be used for such a purpose.

A number of our members favour the Honda Pan European motorcycle.
BMW Motorcycles
Several members of the group are owners of the BMW 1150 RT.
Other Motorcycles
Also included in our motorcycle fleet are, Yamaha FJR, Honda VFR 750 and 800's, Honda Hornet and Triumph Sprint ST motorcycles.
