In the interests of safety, NEG Wales require all our members to wear a high visibility uniform and utilise the latest in communications equipment.
All officers are equipped with 5 watt licensed communications which is installed on their motorcycles with a press to talk function, and headset/microphone setup.
The are each assigned an individual call sign which stays with them during their time with our group.
Some of the motorcycles have forward and rear facing 3rd generation LED warning lights. Al MSO's are also equipped with a retractable 3rd Gen amber light pole.

All our MSO's have been instructed in the use of the radios and communications equipment and have undergone a comprehensive HSE Appointed Persons First Aid Course. In the event of any incident our MSO's are trained to direct traffic and administer emergency first aid on scene.
