Welsh Cycling is delighted to announce the relaunch of its Event Safety Commission, the group which deals with amongst other things risk assessment procedures and liaison with the police.

The group of specialists includes:

David James - Chair and Director of Welsh Cycling

Chris Landon - Commissaire, race organiser and experienced risk assessor

Steve Thomas - Event organiser and safety practitioner

Jason Jenkins - CSAS/NEG member and Director of Welsh Cycling

Talbot Thrush - NEG member and serving police officer

Robin Powell - Event organiser

Caroline Gay - Events and Communications Officer

The group is currently working to improve the process of course approval with the police and set out an improved process for risk assessment.
